OK guys

Something has to be done about the timetable for our meetings
it simply is not justifiable to meet when only 5 or 6 turn up.
Number one is it barely pays for the hall
number two it is getting extremely boring for the guys that do turn up.

So where does this leave us?

What we need is a near full attendance each week
I know some cannot make it every week but surely 2 meets in the month is not too much??
The more that turn up the more enjoyable it would be for everyone.

So,
Proposal time

Keep meeting on Wed. night for 2 hours??

Meet Saturday for 5 or 6 hours every second week ?

meet Sunday Morning from 8AM to 1 PM every second Sunday?

Now
On the Saturday or Sunday we could alternate between touring car and Mini Racing each day so as each member would have lots of track time and possibly would attract some spectators as well seeing as it would be a suitable time??
Someone have other suggestions??

Let us know ;)

Wednesday Night as we normally run each week and a Saturday once or twice a month for 5 or 6 hours?

Would be another good way to do it...... Maybe.....

Is the wed night really the issue, or is it that people have lost interest in the current racing format?
I have made posts before about needing help to set up the car to run on slicks as i can not get grip on the dusty tarmac, to be honest i could not get grip on the carpet on the wed after ITCS,and now as i can not run D20's anymore, i do not fancy spending 1.5 hours travelling up and down to Fermoy, to spin round in circles for 20mins of racing.
A lot has been said about helping us B class drivers set up the cars, if it happens, maybe i can look forward to racing again, and maybe being competitive.
I would prefer the every other Sat or Sunday plus the odd wed night, as maybe this will give more time to help all at the club set up their cars.

No malice or insult is meant in this post to anyone, just a small bit dissolusioned with things at the club at the moment.

I don't think only having it the weekend will work as i don't think people will have time but it might be worth trying for a few weeks an see does it work maybe.

I know i won't be there on sat as i have to work every sat from here to xmas except the 29th i have booked off an i play soccer every Sunday morning .....

But i am only one member so if we get more people to come on a sat or sun then thats the way it should go.....

I wont be able to do a Saturday, a Sunday would suit me better. the thing is the carpet is only viable if done on a weekend day. What seems to be the issue is grip, I can see where Lee is coming from, its difficult to have a good race when you have no grip. Is it possible some cars run better on low grip surfaces than others? If this is the case then is it possible Lee's car will never have any grip on our track while using slicks? Maybe the reason the clubs numbers are down is due to the tracks surface and the knock-on effect that has on the racing.

Sunday would suit myself and niall better as long as it wasnt on the only sunday in 4 that i work, but if it is we will try and sort something out.
I think the change to weekends while still keeping some wednesdays would revitalise the club :bigsmurf:
