The idea of this class is to make RC racing more acessable to new members. The steep learning curve a new member faces when he starts racing will be an awful lot less in this class due to the cars being front wheel drive and with their limited adjustability. The cars will have to run the factory Tyres, motor, shocks and speed controller, this will help keep the cars performance even and the costs down. The new class will be open to all ages from young to old.

Ok! in order to guage the intrest in this I've started this tread, If everyone who's interested put their name forward, I'm sure we can save on postage if we buy them all in one go. What we have to discuss is what cars are allowed to run and what hopups are allowed.
As far as cars there is really only three choices, the old style Mini, tends to be a little bit more expensive than the new shape, the new shape cheapest, and the Suzuki Swift most expensive but has the addition of 8 bearings. I think all cars should run the standard silver can motor, the ESC it comes with, the origional friction dampers, and tyres. I think we should allow the fitting of the bearing kit, Battery? Lipo or not? Springs? gearing? What we dont want is someone doing something to the car that makes it faster than everyone elses, let it be all down to the driver, and if someone keeps winning all the time we can handicap him by taping his hands behind his back! One idea, if the motors are easy to change we could pool all the motors and pick one each, everynight before racing.

Count niall and myself in big time. I would recommend looking at  http://www.rc-mini.net/MiniWeb_Online/Main.html for all info on the MO3 especially modifications - what are good and how they effect the car. Check under the http://www.rc-mini.net/MiniWeb_Online/Mini_For_Dummies.html

I dont think it matters which M03  you get as they are all equal on performance and improvements/modifications seem to be just for reliability.
Bring it on[/quote]

That wouldnt work

We al know how some members lok after their cars/motors

One guy treat it like a baby.
End up getting the motor belonging to a member that never even cleaned dust out of it  :geek:
