Well lads , as stated above , the very small pinion gear screw (the one which is screwed with a tiny alan key) in my car is rounded!! :mumum:

This means I can't swap out my motor , because of the way Yokomo motor mounts are designed !!! Any advice on how to fix this ? Cheers

Does the alen key fit it someway properly or did you make a complete jackass out of it?

if it fits some bit
Super glue the allen key into the screw and leave it set.
Then try ;)

Ya get a high speed steel ( HSS ) drill bit size about 1.5mm - 2.0mm and drill out the grub screw. Pinion will be no good and drill straight as the drill bits can snap very easily.

No , I always took care when screwing the screw , but all of a sudden it just went !!
Strangely the same thing happened to my brothers screw at the same time !!?

Anyway , the key does fit it a bit , so I'll try the super glue , otherwise it'll get srewed , cheers boys , really appreciate it .

I had the same prob and as vectra said super glue it ..
All worked out no prob..
If all else fails you can buy a allen key that is sloped a bit ..as in like a angle if you know what im on about ..so if you round the grub screw it will still work ..the more you go in the tighter it gets..
best thing i ever bougth ..

just looking on ebay to find one for you ..
:cherry:
