From the info for the touring car champs


Lipo batteries are permitted in the ITC Series however competitors must ensure that they are ROAR approved.  This approval is necessary on the grounds of safety.  Drivers should also note that the minimum weight for a car regardless of which battery type you run is 1500 grams.
