Well lads , having a few problems with the car .

My current electronics set up :

- Yokomo D1 SPN 19t motor
- Novak XRS ESC
- Acoms ,shitty radio I got with my first ever car . A Tamiya TT01 . Its a 27mhz set up .

My problem ; It seems to be something that is affected by the distance between Transmitter and receiver .

From a distance (between Transmitter and receiver) of up to 5metres , I can have any range of throttle and all is good .

Any further beyond that : From stand still Forward or Reverse movement is delayed and jumoy

At half throttle , the car glitches slightly . Both throttle and steering being slightly jumpy at times .

At full throttle , I can hear the motor's revs jumping up and down . Constanly peaking and dropping , yet I never reach full power , only about 2/3 of full power .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I've done so far ;
I have used 3 other receivers , with different combinations of crystals and Transmitters . Yet the above effects still occur .

I have checked all connections , all are soldered and insulated , and I have even resoldered some .

I thought due to the problems still occuring with different receiver/transmitter/crystal set ups , that the radio system is not at fault .

However with the symptoms prevailing with increases in signal range , it must be something to do with it .

I really don't know what to do , and its an ABSOLUTE pain , because the power I get is so unpredictable and uneven in it's delivery . Also , just to add ,  the problem is more so to do with the power delivery , and not steeering .

ANY help would be massively appreciated   :smt003

Can you take a pic of the layout of your chassis electrics and post them here please?

Here's the old layout . The receiver being SO close to the motor;

Here's the newer layout . The receiver being as far away from the motor as possible;

I've swapped receivers and crystals already along with improving the receiver position ..... yet the car still glitches and the motor still jumps around all over the rev range .  :(

I'm pretty close to crying now . Please give me the solution . ;)

Have you tried a different motor?
Also
Try your receiver on its side with the crystal at the uppermost.
I am away for a week from tomorow so if you post back early i may think of something else for you to try.  :smt002

Get rid of the 27 and get a 40fm setup
That happened to my a few years ago up in the hall, could not figure it out and bought a 40fm system happy days since.. :smt002
Car was working fine one day,the next wed. night went mad just like yours .
Any of your pals got a 40 system to try it out or get a different 27 system to try it .

Best thing for you is bin the 27 and get a 40fm system  :smt002

I'm gonna service the motor now .

WHat do you mean , having the crystal at it's uppermost ??

Ye Gav , I tried my brothers Transmitter , receiver and crystals . Still acting up .

I'm gonna look for a 2.4GHz system .

Just to add :

How could the problem lie with the motor , when it go's full power in close range , but only acts up if the car is further away .... ??
