Velcro well it depends on how you want to hold the shell on.

There's a body post on the rear shock tower and you can screw a body post onto the front plate, over the steering rack and use body clips to hold the shell on. But I've found over the years that the front hole does not last that long before the shell starts to crack, only a year or so!

So overall using velcro to attach the shell to the car is quicker, it helps to keep dust and dirt out of the chassis, and the shell seems to last longer.

So it not essential, just a matter of personal choice.

Ah,
Too late for me then as the hols are already made in the shells. I suppose I could still do the velcro to help keep the dirt out.
