OK guys
what is the limitations on these as far as upgrades go?

Stage one = Standard out of box??
OR
Out of box plus full ballrace kit?

Battery limitations?

are Alloy Hubs and Carriers allowed?

Are Turnbuckles ?

CVD's ?

I can see none of the above giving any form of performance gain but would certainly beef up the car a little and make it robust
The above could be bought individually as and when a driver would have a spare 10'r in his pocket.?

Now for the grey area.

What happens if a car's esc packs in?
Can you only run the original type?
or could a member use any one?

This I could see being a huge performance gain.

well i think batterys dont matter that much, i have used 1500s and 3300s but no great difference between them just longer run time,

as for alloy hubs and carriers thay should be allowed as its not going to make the car any faster, just more reliable...

full bearing kit is a must have..

run standard speed controller, motor and tyres..

turnbuckles are pretty weak on them, as last week i got a bang and knocked out the tracking...

cvd's should be tryed out as to see if there is a difference, i cant see them making much difference to speed just smoother transmission..

any of these upgrades should be drivers choice, as in put a limit on what you can do to the car and its up to the driver if he wants to fit them or not, non of these upgrades are to gain speed just less headaches!!

upgrade parts are realy cheap, pity the touring car parts were as cheap..

No other standard parts other than these may be used, Non Tamiya pinions of the same pitch, sizes 16t to 20t can be used. Any Tamiya shims, spacers and O rings can be used. This is mainly for the removal of play in moving parts. Parts that vary only by colour are also permitted. The use of solid differentials is not permitted. These must be built as per kit instructions. However any grease or oil maybe used. Blue-tac or other similar substances are also not permitted.

Tyres must not be modified in anyway. This includes belting and rounding of the edges of the tread. Additive may be used. Maximum tyre diameter is 62mm.

Only 1 insert per tyre. Inserts cannot be modified in anyway. Only 60D inserts are permitted.

Good stuff Pat, I'd say we run class 1 with some of the bits of class 2 what do ye think.

But which parts?


This will have to be 100% solid along with the prices before we try to promote this series

we will also have to sort a format
also
we may look at getting seperate transponders for the minis ?
if we get a job lot I may be able to get them a bit cheaper.
keep them seperate from the TC ones.
