Maybe a wake was the wrong choice of words, but i had been there since 10am and had only one single race.
i dont have a 1/5 scale car, so i could not join in that fun.
I love to race TC, and was looking forward to racing against what was to be a good turnout again of members for TC.
So i will apologize for bitching and sulking, but it was just frustration on my part at the lack of actual racing going on.
It is great to pick up 2 new members and look forward to them showing
up hopefully at all venues we race at.
As for missing the point of today, i know it was a fun day, but last week was a fun day as well, but both weeks it
had been said that we would run structured racing and i had set myself up for it and found it dissapointing
that there was none this week.
I have removed my inital comment now if it has offended.

Even if we tryed to race today would not of happened ,All the people were down at the drifting .Only thing that got them up was the noise from the 1/5.
It was just to pro the club and we did that in the 2 events we were at..
So happy days..

I think not having done anything like this before we got caught out a bit, when there was something on up at the Live arena we had no one watching, and when there was a break we were flooded including the pit area and then we couldn’t race as we had no one to watch the gear. If we were doing another event like this the first thing we should do is get a schedule from the organizer so we know what time the breaks are on and have our cars lined up and ready to race, close the barrier so no one could come in to the pits, and announce to the crowd that the pit area is closed during the race and invite them down to the pit area once the race is complete. Are these events worth doing? I think they are, whatever hope we had of attracting members yesterday, there would have been no hope if we had sat on our arses at home or even if we had been racing up at the hall in Fermoy. No one is going to join a club they don’t even know exists! I had been suggesting we should run a championship round and a round of the drift championship how ridiculous was that! that would have been impossible yesterday not without keeping the gate closed.

But at least we were there to show our faces and our cars.
Like you said better than been at home.
