Hi all, I was at the racing last sunday, very impressed. I have a electric buggy 1/10 scale with motor burnt out. i was thinking of getting a Ezrun 13t brushless motor with ESC. Is this a good motor? What does the t stand for in the 13T, is it the number of teeth in gear !! |

What does the t stand for in the 13T, is it the number of teeth in gear !! Hi Bud, I spoke to you regarding the Ezrun ok first off, These motors/esc's are brilliant value for money. The "T" stands for the amount of Turns in the motor what you have in your nuggy is known as a "Silver can" motor which is the most basic motor you can buy, Normally the next stepup is a "Stock" motor which is a rebuildable motor. ( Like the one I showed you.) Now for Brushless. In normal circumstances a Brushless motor to equal a 27turn brushed motor would be a 13.5 turn ( Racing rules to keep all things equal ) BUT In these Ezrun terms I am not sure if the 13 means 13turn brushless or 13 turn Brushed equivelant. But Basically the 13 turn you are looking at is fine. Now Maybe it is also time to upgrade your battery packs? the one you had yesterday would last no time with that brushless system :smt011 Hope that helps :smt002 |

I have an EzRun motor and ESC. With EZRun, you go by the KV rating, a novak 13.5 brushless has a KV rating of 3300KV(i think) and the EZRun 12T motor has the same KV rating as the novak 13.5 brushless. For 10.5 brushless equivalent use the 9T EZRun. Hope this helps. |
